2022 model year (officially) for the Supra brings with a power bump to a stout 382 horses from 335. That power can be felt pretty much immediately but more so at the upper end of the rev band. The B58 engine was never lacking for top end power but with the added 47 horses, it brings that glorious inline 6 to a crescendo before redline.

Everything else pretty much remains the same on the 2022 Toyota Supra. So you have the same ZF 8HP gearbox, the same interior and the same infotainment system. If you are inclined to wait another few months though…the manual equipped Supra will be hitting our shores (finally).

So one of the main gripes that everyone would like to errr gripe about is about to be fixed. Which only leads to the following statement:

Everyone complained that there wasn’t a manual Supra...now there will be. But people are still going to find something to complain about...
— People Suck

No matter what a manufacturer does…there will be a minute vocal portion of the public crying foul. Or just plain crying. There is no winning with those chosen few. Every step forward is a step behind. Every step behind, should’ve been a step forward in their eyes. I applaud manufacturers attempting to placate everyone and I know that Toyota knows that the manual variant will sell in miniscule numbers but the fact that they brought it to market means one thing:

Toyota cares. Toyota Listens. Now for the love of all that is holy...let’s not disappoint them and actually buy it!!
