It’s the ultimate sleeper that will decimate 99% of the cars on the road...while hauling your Home Depot ferns and Costco paper towels...and carrying 5 people comfortably...while looking out a panoramic roof….while getting a massage…smelling perfumed air and having your butt warmed/cooled. It literally does everything. EVERYTHING and it does so perfectly. The ride is comfortable in even the most sportiest setting, it’s quiet at any given speed and with AWD it has traction for any condition. But if you want to go sideways…it will do that too! Just enable the ‘Drift Mode’ and then all the power goes to the rear for some tail out action!
The E63S produces an outstanding 603 horsepower and an earth melting 627 ft/lbs amount of torque. That launches the E63S to 60 in 3.0 seconds FLAT. I’m going to let that sink in for a moment. This 4700 pound wagon goes to 60 and the ¼ mile a breath slower than a first generation Bugatti Veyron!!!
Yes the power and performance levels are insane to comprehend. But that’s not the best part. The best part is the wagon portion. The ability of putting your entire house along with 5 people comfortably into something this blistering is mind numbing. The only thing I can do is to stand up and do the obligatory ‘slow clap’ for the folks over at AMG.
Now you are probably thinking there is a catch to all of this madness? To be completely honest with you...there isn’t. Yes, the as tested price is $130,000…so it’s expensive. But compare that price to any of the supercars out there along with their lack of practicality and you have a clear winner.
