Introducing 'Baby'
Hello!
Welcome to our newest Project and this is the one I have been waiting for all of my life:
AKA Baby, is a D4 Generation Audi S8. If you’re not familiar with the S8, let me put it this way…I reviewed one back in 2016 and I said then:
“There is no ‘and’ there is no ‘but’. If you can afford one...get it. This is the best car I have ever driven”
That press car has never left the front of my consciousness. I have been fortunate and blessed enough to have reviewed hundreds of vehicles since then and that S8 I drove, still is on the forefront of the ‘best cars I have ever driven’.
Since then 2016, I have owned everything from a full sized luxury truck, to multiple sport sedans down to a hot hatch and while they were fantastic in their own very way…they lacked ‘something’ for me. After two purchasing missteps, I stumbled upon this very S8 on AutoTrader. The subsequent weeks were spent scouring every bit of the internet and gleaning every piece of information on ownership costs, reliability and stats on the S8. Those weeks of research came down to the following statement:
“Is it expensive to maintain? Duh. But here is the question...is it worth it at the end of the day? Absolutely YES.”
So I said a prayer and made the leap.
