The Honda CRV, the compact crossover SUV, has been a staple in the automotive market since its inception in 1995. Known for its reliability, practicality, and fuel efficiency, the CRV has consistently evolved to meet the changing needs of consumers and the market. The 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport represents the latest iteration of this popular model, offering an optimal blend of performance, efficiency, and comfort.
The CRV's history is marked by its adaptability. The first generation, introduced in 1995, was a simple, utilitarian vehicle that quickly gained popularity due to its versatility, efficiency and rugged if not quirky aesthetics. Over the years, the CRV has grown in size and sophistication, adopting a more refinement and ditching the rugged quirkiness for some handsome if not forgettable aesthetics. The 2025 CRV Hybrid Sport builds upon this legacy, offering near Acura levels of refinement and looks that are so good that it’s at the top of its hugely competitive class.
In terms of performance, the 2025 CRV Hybrid Sport delivers numbers more in line with the competition, rather than anything the Sport moniker would designate. . With a fuel range of approximately 450 miles, a combined fuel economy of 37 mpg, and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 6.5 seconds, it offers a satisfying balance of power and efficiency. It won’t make you yell out for the divine upon pinning the throttle nor will it make you fall asleep. The CRV's handling is Honda through and through. In other words, The CRV feels light on its feet, eager to turn and offering excellent feedback.
Inside, the 2025 CRV Hybrid Sport offers a spacious and comfortable cabin. With an interior volume of 124 cubic feet, passenger volume of 101 cubic feet, and cargo volume of 39 cubic feet, it provides plenty big for both passengers and cargo. The interior is well-appointed with high-quality materials and a user-friendly infotainment system.
The biggest elephant in the room is the 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Compared to the RAV4, the CRV Hybrid Sport offers a few key advantages. One the RAV4 looks errrr ‘not too good’ while the CRV’s latest styling looks downright luxurious. So much in fact, take a peak at the Cadillac XT4 and tell me that doesn’t look a bit familiar??
Let’s go ahead and break it down:
