The 2023 Lincoln Corsair Hybrid is a fine, fuel efficient, great looking and comfortable small luxurious crossover. Unfortunately, it has flown under the radar of the buying public and seeing one on the road is a rare sight. That could be due to the price, our test unit sticker’d at a ming boggling $53,000!. Which is $10,000 more than a similar equipped Lexus NX hybrid.

Now, it being a Lincoln, there is a good chance of scoring a rock solid deal and if you do…is it worth it?

Let’s find out:

The Great:

Fuel Efficient

Fuel-efficient: The Corsair Hybrid has an EPA-estimated all-electric range of up to 28 miles and a combined fuel economy of 34 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. This makes it one of the most fuel-efficient luxury SUVs on the market.

Luxurious Interior

The Corsair Hybrid has a luxurious and well-appointed interior with high-quality materials and finishes. The switchgear has a quality feel that is missing from most of its competitors and the doors close with an authoritative ‘thump’ instead of a hollow ‘clink’.

Infotainment

Infotainment: I have wrote this many times in the past but SYNC (whether it’s in a Ford or a Lincoln), is just plain fantastic!

The Good:

The Ride

The Corsair Hybrid has a smooth and comfortable ride, even over rough roads. Handling is also good, with minimal body roll in corners.

The Steering

Steering Feel is excellent is the appropriate amount of heft without being overly ‘boosted’

The Bad:

Timid Excitement

The Corsair Hybrid is not as fun to drive as some of its European rivals, such as the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3. It’s fine for the buyers that Lincoln is targeting but needless to say it’s a bit ‘meh’

Drivetrain Confusion

Switching from EV to ICE can be a fluid and seamless transitions…other times it’s jarring and the accompanying noise from the 2.0 Liter 4 Cylinder is a bit unaspiring.

The Ugly:

High Price

The Corsair Hybrid starts at $53,000, the Lexus NX Hybrid starts at an astonishing $41,000!

Overall

The 2023 Lincoln Corsair Hybrid is a great choice for luxury SUV buyers who are looking for a fuel-efficient and comfortable vehicle. However, it is important to be aware of its high price and so much in fact that if you’re stuck paying sticker for one…it’s better to look elsewhere.
