Land Rover Defender by Fusion

Fusion Motor Company dials up the regular Land Rover Defender by ALL the notches.  See press release below:

Fusion Motor Company, known as the official manufacturer of the Gone In 60 Seconds “Eleanor” Mustang Fastback, proudly introduces their newest creation: a special Defender 110 with LS3 Corvette Powertrain Package. This beautiful vehicle is representative of Fusion’s new line of bespoke Defenders designed exclusively for their discriminating clientele. Fusion’s 75,000 square-foot facility in Los Angeles integrates ISO-level international manufacturing processes and OE-caliber in-house engineering and fabrication to create trucks that seamlessly integrate the legendary Defender aesthetic alongside modern features and amenities.

From the outside, there’s no mistaking that this Santorini Black Defender 110 is a classic Land Rover. Under the hood, however, Fusion seamlessly replaces the D110’s factory 3.9L Rover petrol engine with modern Corvette Stingray power. An LS3 6.2L V-8 engine efficiently adds 122 horsepower over stock to yield an impressive 430 horsepower. The LS3 is mated to a GM 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission for ultimate reliability and driveability.

The factory all-wheel-drive system is one of the Defender’s strengths, so Fusion retained it for the Santorini D110 by adapting the GM transmission to the factory LT230 full-time transfer case.

On the exterior, this D110’s sleek black paint adds a modern touch, which is enhanced by factory Rover 18-inch Sawtooth Gloss Black alloy wheels. The suspension is upgraded with desert-proven Fox 2.0 monotube shocks, mounted in tubular front shocks turrets. These shocks control the oversized LT285/65R18 Nitto Ridge Grappler all-terrain tires.

Other exterior enhancements are inspired by British Rover restyling specialists. These include a mesh two-tone satin/gloss black front grille, surround panels for the powerful Vision-X 7-inch xenon LED projector front headlights, sport side fenders, grille vents on the hood and fenders and a heavy-duty bumper. The theme carries to the rear: enhancements include corner bumpers and a fold-down step. A sunroof and window tinting give the vehicle an air of sporty sophistication.

While the exterior add-ons enhance upon the Defender’s well-earned reputation for toughness, inside the truck is all about comfort. The expansive, seven-seat configuration features premium ebony/tan leather upholstery, a 1,000-watt Pioneer infotainment system with Apple Carplay, a piano-black center fascia, ebony black carpets and floor mats, a leather sport steering wheel, and black suede headliner.
