The Great:

It’s a genuinely a good looking car around. It avoids the vomit inducing styling of the Prius and the boring styling of the Insight. That goes for the interior as well. It’s not trying to be futuristic for futuristic sake. It works, it’s easy to understand and looks good.

The Good:

Infotainment system is class leading in it’s segment and steering feel is one of the best

The Bad:

Very antiseptic driving experience. Hit the Sport Mode button and generally makes everything a bit worse. The transmission gets hung up at High RPM, the steering gets heavy and the throttle is a hair trigger.

The Ugly:

Nothing really egregious to say here. Carry on.

The Overall:

Compared to the Toyota Prius, Honda Insight and the lot. The Hyundai Ioniq is the lost child in the small hybrid market. Granted the aforementioned vehicles have name recognition but the Ioniq is the better looking, better value and better drive than the lot. If you’re in the market…look at the Hyundai Ioniq.
