I don’t want to grow up! I want to be a Toys R Us Kid! Remember that magical feeling walking inside that place as a child? Every was aisle stacked full of toys just glimmering under the fluorescent lights. It was enough to make every kid’s imagination run wild! As an adult you would relish the opportunity to bring your own child to one, so you can see the joy in their own eyes. Unfortunately the tides of fortune has swept away our beloved Toys R Us. So what do we do if we want that absolute sense of joy back? That feeling of a giddiness only a 2 year old will feel walking inside a Toys R US? I present to you the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS Hot Wheels Edition.

How you say? Let’s start off with the styling.  Well It looks like damn a Hot Wheel! From the aggressive front facia, the small windows, to the lip spoiler, beautiful orange paint and racing stripes...this was the car you would ‘vroom’ all over your parent’s living room rug.  Now that your older...this is the car that you can vroom all over town. The styling doesn’t end on the inside either. The interior has splashes orange on the door cards, the seats bolsters and the dash. The entire car feels well….like an upsized Hot Wheels.  Brilliant Job GM!

But how does it drive?  Now that’s a different story.  This is one serious machine. The LT1 that resides under the hood is from the heavens.  There is a distant rumble when you’re cruising around town but it is smooth as butter and if you’re gentle you can get around 16 to 17 mpg in the city.  Stab your foot down though and hold the f*ck on because the SS will launch itself into the next zip code by the time your brain realizes what happens. All of this happens on a tidal wave of glorious noise emanating from the exhaust pipes. The stock exhaust is nothing short of genius. Quiet when you want it to be….but it sounds like the gates of hell broke open when you let your right foot loose. Again I say…brilliant job GM!

So how do I sum up the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS Hot Wheels Edition?  Do you want to feel like a kid again? This is your car.
